The Allen-Bradley 1771-KA3 PLC 2 Communication Adapter Module enhances PLC processor capabilities by interfacing with the Data Highway Plus Module, allowing for seamless data exchange among PLC processors and RS-232-C devices. This module effectively integrates multiple PLC processors into a cohesive network, accommodating up to 64 processors and computers spread across a distance of 10,000 feet, making it ideal for expansive automated systems. With support for baud rates of 9.6k for the program interface, 57.6k for the data highway, and 91.2k for the processor port, and a power requirement of 5V DC at 1.2A, the 1771-KA3 is compatible with a range of power supplies and can be installed in most slots within the 1771 I/O chassis. Designed for clean, dry industrial environments, it operates efficiently in a temperature range of 0 ‚ 60 °C with relative humidity between 5% to 95%, handling a 30g operating shock.
