Description
The Allen-Bradley 1771-KH modem interface module is designed for seamless communication between the PLC-2 series processors and modems, ideal for long-distance applications. Utilizing the half-duplex TWR S-70/S-703 protocol, this module facilitates message exchange only when the PLC-2 is in RUN mode, interacting with Mini-PLC-2 and PLC-2/05, 2/15, 2/20, and 2/30 processors. With compatibility for RS-232 network interfaces and communication rates ranging from 75 to 2400 bps, it supports direct or modem connections via its MODEM, PROGRAM, and PROCESSOR interfaces, drawing 1 Amp from the chassis backplane, and operating efficiently within temperature ranges of 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity levels from 5 to 95%.
