The Allen-Bradley 1771-PT3 is a 150-meter (492 feet) fiber optic duplex cable designed for industrial programming systems. This indoor-rated, non-conductive cable from the 1771 series provides excellent protection against electromagnetic interference and noise, ensuring reliable data transmission. With two fibers and a diameter of 100 micrometers, its lightweight design and 1.845 feet per pound resistance rating make it highly efficient, yet care must be taken during installation to prevent increased attenuation due to its lower tensile strength compared to copper cables. Connection with other fiber-optic links requires a splice connector, and installation is most effective when the cable is placed in polyethylene conduits, avoiding exposure to potentially damaging environments or excessive stretching.
