The 1771-SPI PLC 5 SPI Protocol Interface Module by Allen-Bradley functions as a Network master device, managing data flow between a PLC-5 processor and up to 32 connected slave devices. Designed for seamless integration, it fits into any 1771 I/O chassis slot and operates with a backplane current of 1.3A at 5V DC. Utilizing an RS-485 multi-drop serial port and Field Wiring Arm Connector, it efficiently handles asynchronous communication in half duplex mode with a speed range of 1200 to 19200 bits per second. Supporting IEEE floating point numbers and Block Data Transfer protocol, the module boasts a temperature range between 0 to 60°C, tolerating 5-95% non-condensing relative humidity and is robust in non-operational conditions from -40 to 85°C.
