The Allen Bradley 1791-IOVW from Rockwell Automation is a versatile I/O module block, combining an adapter, power supply, I/O module, and I/O rack functionalities. This compact device offers 32 sourcing inputs and 32 sinking outputs, equipped with LED indicators for monitoring Fuse, Active, Communication, and Power statuses, along with an additional LED array for I/O status observation. It supports configurations via switches for settings such as baud rate and processor restart lockout and uses two removable 37-pin terminal blocks for connections to remote I/O, also ensuring power linkage through a dedicated terminal block. Designed for efficiency, it operates optimally within a 0 to 60°C range and utilizes a 18 to 26.4 Volt DC power supply, dissipating up to 15.1 Watts of power, and it is important to use Belden 9463 cable and adhere to proper wiring sequences, though it remains incompatible with the 1747-DSN distributed I/O scanner module.
