The Allen-Bradley 1794-ADN is a robust DeviceNet media adapter designed for 24 VDC systems, accommodating up to eight Flex I/O modules while offering flexible communication rates of 125 Kbps, 250 Kbps, and 500 Kbps. This module features a convenient open-type enclosure supporting DIN rail or panel mounting and includes a singular DeviceNet port with a 5-pin or 10-pin linear plug option. At dimensions of 3.7 x 3.6 x 3.4 inches, the 1794-ADN ensures reliable operation through its power supply current load of 400 mA at 24 VDC, a maximum FlexBus output current of 640 mA at 5 V, and an input voltage range from 19.2 to 31.2 VDC. Enhanced monitoring capabilities are facilitated through status indicators for I/O and ModNet, and configuration is streamlined with built-in thumbwheel switches. The device is rigorously type-tested at 1,930 Volts DC for insulation integrity and remains stable in challenging environments, operating within a temperature range of -4 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit and withstanding shocks rated up to 30 g.
