The Allen-Bradley 1794-ASB2 is a FLEX remote I/O adapter designed to support up to two FLEX I/O modules, offering communication rates of 57.6 Kbps, 115.2 Kbps, and 230.4 Kbps. Operating on a 24V DC power supply, this adapter features a nominal input voltage range of 19.2-31.2V DC and can supply a maximum FlexBus output current of 640 mA at 5V DC. It exhibits a maximum power dissipation of 3.4 W and a thermal dissipation of 11.6 BTU/hr while providing basic isolation with a 50V continuous isolation voltage. With a compact design measuring 3.4 x 2.7 x 2.7 inches and an IP20 rating, it offers convenient DIN rail or panel mounting, and includes red/green status indicators for power, adapter, and connection states. Note that it is not compatible with the classic PLC-5/15 and PLC-5/25 processors, which could result in damage.
