The Allen-Bradley 25-ENC-1 is a quadrature, incremental encoder designed for seamless integration with the PowerFlex 525 adjustable frequency AC drive, enhancing motor control capabilities with closed-loop PM control and closed-loop velocity vector control methods. This encoder supports both single-ended and differential input wiring, sourcing from either 5 or 12 volts, and accepts input voltages of 5, 12, or 24 volts. It offers flexibility in power sourcing, being capable of internal power via the drive with a nominal 12VDC and 250 mA draw. Installing the encoder requires careful alignment and connection procedures, with maximum and minimum wire capacities of 2.08 mm² and 0.08 mm² respectively, ensuring secure terminal fittings with precise torque application.
