TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The HG-KR23 model is a general-purpose servo motor designed and manufactured by Mitsubishi. Multiple servo units or amplifiers are compatible with the servo motor. The model's low moment of inertia and capacity reflect its superior design. Specifications about this multipurpose servo motor (HG-KR23), including its model, output power, weight, insulating class, speed, and serial number, can be found on a nameplate on its housing.
Technical Information of HG-KR23
The HG-KR23 model's permitted instantaneous speed is 6900 revolutions per minute, generating 18.3 kW/s of rated power at continuous rated torque. The motor's housing meets the IP65 protection standard and is suited for natural cooling, except for the shaft's center section. IP ratings classify electrical enclosures' dust, debris, and water resistance. A 22-bit encoder is installed in the servo motor for speed and position detection. There are 4194304 pulses in every rotation of the encoder. The input voltage for the model's power supply should be 200 VAC for 3 phase and 230 VAC for a single phase.
Continuously operating, the model produces a rated torque of 0.64 Nm and a rated power of 0.2 kW. The servo motor has a moment of inertia of 0.221 x 10-4 kgm2 and weighs 0.91 kg. The model can rotate at a maximum of 6000 revolutions per minute and a rated speed of 3000 revolutions per minute. The model HG-KR23 lacks a thermistor and has a 130 (B) thermal class.
Environmental Conditions and Installation Instructions
The ideal environment for storing the model HG-KR23 includes a temperature range of -15 to 70 degrees centigrade and a humidity range of 10 to 90 percent. The model may be installed up to a maximum altitude of 2000 meters above sea level without experiencing performance degradation. The model's effectiveness may decline if it's subjected to conditions above this threshold. To function correctly, the servo motor requires non-condensing relative humidity between 10 and 80 percent and temperatures between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius. The model is intended for indoor usage only in a clean and dust-free environment.
Keep some slack in the wire if you're installing the model HG-KR23 at an angle or vertically. Depending on its configuration and the conditions it operates, the outside of a servo motor may become hotter than 100 degrees Celsius. Avoid using the servo motor near open flames. There is an increased danger of smoke and fire if the equipment is installed on top of or near flammable materials. Mounting the model HG-KR23 in any orientation is OK, but make sure the connecting component is facing down if you use a horizontal mount. The servo motor should be installed with spring washers and all bolts completely tightened to prevent vibration-induced loosening.
Safety Cautions for HG-KR23
Before beginning any phase of installation, operation, maintenance, or quality control on the model HG-KR23 in question, the user is strongly recommended to consult the manual. Doing so could result in the more effective use of the model. To avoid being shocked, ensure the servo amplifier and motor are grounded.
Never twist, compress, or otherwise damage a wire. However, it might result in a shocking electrical current. To avoid electrical shock, insulate the motor's power supply terminal connections. When the HG-KR23 servo motor is operating, avoid touching any moving parts.
