A notable design aspect of the S100 series is its heatsink positioned at the back, also known as flange mount, facilitating external heatsink attachment. This design choice is crucial as it forms a NEMA 12 dust-tight enclosure by placing the heat dissipation externally, potentially reducing or eliminating the need for air conditioning within the enclosure.

Additionally, the S100 series offers models enclosed in NEMA 4X housings, available for power capacities ranging from 1/2 to 30 hp, ensuring enhanced protection in harsh environments.
