TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The MR-J2-40A model is a servo amplifier with integrated positional capabilities. This specific model belongs to the J2 series of servo amplifiers designed and manufactured by Mitsubishi. While the RS-422 serial interface is utilized for multi-drop operations, the single-axis positioning system relies on external I/O signals for its communication operations. The MR-J2-40A servo amplifier's positioning function is simplified and enhanced using the configuration software. A basic, program-free positioning system can be configured using this model, or the model can be utilized to streamline an existing system.
Technical Information
The model MR-J2-40A is equipped with a built-in dynamic brake and works on a three-phase voltage supply between 200 to 230 VAC. It also works on a 230VAC single-phase voltage supply with a frequency of 50 to 60 Hz. The servo motor can be brought to a halt abruptly by engaging the dynamic brake in the event of an alert, emergency stop, or power loss. The model has a sinewave PWM control and a 250 Hz speed frequency response. The model has many protective functions built into it, including an overcurrent cutoff, servo motor overheats protection, regenerative fault prevention, Undervoltage protection, Overspeed protection, and excessive error protection. To prevent damage to the servo motor and servo amplifier MR-J2-40A in the event of an overload, a built-in electronic thermal relay is included in the servo amplifier.
The model MR-J2-40A has a speed control range of 1:1000 for the analog speed command and 1:5000 for the internal speed command. The model weighs 1.1 kilograms and has a torque input limit of 0 to -/+ 10 VDC maximum. The maximum input pulse frequency of the model is 400 kpps for the differential receiver. The model’s in-position range setting varies between 0 to -/+ 10000 pulses.
Operating and Installation Ambient Conditions
The servo amplifier MR-J2-40A can be deployed at an altitude of up to 1,000 meters above sea level without reducing efficiency. Due to its low protection category (IP00), the model must be placed vertically in a control cabinet with a protection rating of at least IP54. The servo drive can function optimally within the temperature range of 0 to +55 °C. Ensure the installation and operating region is devoid of dust, oil mist, and other reactive substances. The optimal temperature range for storing this module is -20 to +65 °C, with a maximum relative humidity of 90%. (non-condensing).
During the installation of a single servo amplifier MR-J2-40A, provide sufficient side space (10 mm), top clearance (40 mm), and bottom clearance (40 mm) for optimal airflow. If you want to install two or more servo drives in a control box, leave the following clearances: 100 mm at the top, 40 mm at the bottom, 30 mm at the sides, and 10 mm at the bottom between the modules. A fan must be fitted to adjust the inside temperature of the control box.
Software Specification and Requirements
Parameter setting adjustments, graph display, test operation, etc., are all accomplished on a personal computer through the communication feature of the servo amplifier MR-J2-40A with the help of the setup software (MRZJW3-SETUP31E or later). The software communication signal meets the RS-232C standard. The program is capable of monitoring both batch display and high-speed display. The program's capabilities include jog mode, motorless operation, and signal-forced output.
The program can only operate on PCs with 80386 processors or above with Windows 3.1 or later installed. The monitor must be a monochrome 16-scale display, and any Windows 3.1-compatible keyboard, mouse, or printer can be used.
