The National Instruments 777314-01 is a high-performance Digital I/O Device identified as the PCI-DIO-32HS, engineered to provide a robust interface for digital input and output operations across various platforms including PCI, PXI, PCMCIA, and ISA. This module is equipped with 32 digital I/O channels, out of which four are dedicated for output and control functions, while another four serve as input and status channels. The MITE interface facilitates bus-master operation, burst transfers, and enhanced data handling through high-performance DMA controllers, ensuring efficient operation for demanding applications.

The device supports flexible configurations, allowing its channels to be grouped into two 8-bit or 16-bit configurations, or utilized as a single 32-bit group for applications involving pattern I/O or handshaking, with a maximum operational rate of up to 5 MHz for pattern I/O and up to 19.9 MHz for handshaking. Each I/O line can be set as either input or output in static mode, capable of sinking or sourcing a current of up to 24 mA when functioning as output. The digital logic levels are compatible with 5V TTL/CMOS specifications, with input voltage thresholds ranging from 0V to 0.8V for low, and from 2V to 5V for high, while the module supports an absolute maximum input voltage of -0.3V to 5V.

The 777314-01 draws a current of 1.3A from a +5 VDC supply (±5%) under light load conditions, while providing power availability at its I/O connectors within the +4.65 to +5.25 VDC range, supporting a load of up to 1 A. This module is optimized for interoperability with NI-DAQ driver software, allowing for seamless device configuration, custom programming, and efficient digital I/O operations, along with numerous example applications available for integrated development environments (IDEs) like LabVIEW. The physical dimensions of the module are 6.9 by 4.2 inches, and it features a 68-pin male SCSI-II type I/O connector. Its operating temperature range extends from 0 to 55 °C, with a storage temperature capability of -20 to 70 °C, ensuring operational reliability in various environments, and it is rated for a relative humidity of 5 to 90% non-condensing.
