The National Instruments 777459-01 Feedthrough Module, also known as the SCC-FT01, is engineered to facilitate seamless connections to the analog input (AI) and analog output (AO) channels of E Series data acquisition (DAQ) devices. This module features a versatile breadboard area that allows users to design and implement custom signal conditioning hardware tailored for interfacing with analog, digital (P0.), and general-purpose counter/clock (CTR) channels on the E Series DAQ platform. When employing counter functionalities, users can connect to the pads labeled CTR located above connector J2 within the breadboard area. The unit includes a clearly labeled signal connection guide within its enclosure for easy reference to pad numbers.

The NI 777459-01 supports two single-ended or one differential analog input channel, as well as one analog output channel when connected to an AO socket on the SC-2345. It is equipped with a 20-pin right-angle male connector and a 6-pin screw terminal suitable for wire sizes ranging from 28 to 16 AWG, ensuring robust connectivity. The module is compatible with numerous driver software, including NI-DAQmx, traditional NI-DAQ, and NI-VISA, and integrates seamlessly with various software packages and application development environments (ADEs) such as LabVIEW, LabVIEW Real-Time Module, LabWindows/CVI, Visual C++, Visual Basic, and Measurement Studio.

For optimal performance, users can connect the SCC-FT01 to the CTR CH0 attachment J19, or link to the CTR CH1 attachment J20 to access signals from counter channel 1 and the AI channels of the E Series DAQ device. In addition, the module provides access to cascading signals from adjacent SCC modules. While National Instruments has declared the 777459-01 obsolete, it remains available for both purchase and repair through Apex Waves.
