New, Refurbished and Repairs Available Multiple options to meet your needs and budget

The National Instruments 778348-01 Sound and Vibration Device is an integral component of the PCI-4472 Model Series, designed to deliver exceptional accuracy for vibration and audio analysis applications. Featuring eight analog inputs with 24-bit resolution, this device ensures precise data acquisition for accelerometers and microphones through its integrated electronic piezoelectric (IEPE) signal conditioning. To minimize the need for external filtering, the 778348-01 incorporates automatic anti-aliasing filters that adapt to the sampling rate, along with real-time digital and analog filters that enhance signal integrity by eliminating distortion and artifacts.

The device supports both pretrigger and posttrigger modes, enabling users to capture signals before or after a designated trigger event. Triggering can be initiated from various sources, including external digital triggers, analog input channels, or software commands. For applications requiring high channel counts, multiple devices can be synchronized using the PXI star trigger bus, achieving less than 1 ns of skew between modules to maintain phase consistency in cross-channel measurements.

Additionally, the 778348-01 features complete DMA bus-master capabilities that facilitate efficient data transfer rates via PCI mini-MITE, with a notable throughput of 20 to 30 MB/s and burst rates reaching up to 132 MB/s. A 1,024-sample analog input FIFO ensures protection against latency-related data loss. This device operates seamlessly with NI-DAQmx and is compatible with NI LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and Measurement Studio software. It can also be utilized with the NI Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite for diverse analyses, including order extraction and frequency response assessments. The unbalanced differential design of its analog input channels supports a peak signal range of ±10 V and offers versatile triggering options, accommodating customizable voltage levels and slopes while supporting both AC and DC connections with digital trigger compatibility for 5 V TTL/CMOS signals.
