The National Instruments 778572-43, also known as the PXI-2543, is a high-performance Dual 4x1 PXI RF Multiplexer Switch Module specifically engineered for advanced signal routing in RF testing applications. Utilizing a FET switch relay design, this module provides unlimited lifetime and rapid switching capabilities. With an impressive bandwidth of 6.6 GHz, the 778572-43 effectively addresses the demands of high-frequency applications. It is meticulously constructed to ensure optimal signal integrity, featuring terminated COM lines and channels to minimize reflections. The module supports an input frequency range from 10 MHz and maintains a nominal characteristic impedance of 50 Ω with AC coupling. It safely accommodates a DC input voltage of ±8 V and manages continuous RF power output of +30 dBm when powered on, and +20 dBm when powered off.

The RF performance metrics of the 778572-43 are exceptional, with insertion loss values that vary based on the bandwidth: less than 4.1 dB at 2.4 GHz, under 5.8 dB up to 6 GHz, and below 7.0 dB up to 6.6 GHz. The voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) indicates low signal reflection, typically around 1.5 up to 6 GHz. Channel-to-channel isolation exceeds 90 dB up to 2.4 GHz and remains above 74 dB up to 6 GHz, with bank-to-bank crosstalk impressively low at -90 dB. The module boasts a fast switching operation time of 76 μs and supports PXI trigger lines for both input and output, with a minimum input trigger pulse width of 150 ns. The NI 778572-43 configures with 10 SMA jacks for input/output connections and 2 SMB jacks designated for triggers. Designed for robust operation, it functions within a temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C and can be stored between -20 °C to 70 °C. Additionally, it can endure operational shocks of up to 30 g peak and random vibrations in both operational and non-operational states. The 778572-43 complies with rigorous safety standards such as IEC 61010-1 and UL 61010-1 and meets electromagnetic compatibility requirements per EN 61326-1 and FCC Part 15B. This module provides an outstanding combination of performance, reliability, and durability, making it a solid choice for RF test and measurement applications.
