Part Number: 781910-01
The National Instruments 781910-01, also known as the USRP-2930, is a high-performance software-defined radio (SDR) device engineered for advanced wireless communication applications, including WiFi, WiMax, and ISM bands. This versatile device features a single input and output channel, facilitating a wide range of communication tasks. The 781910-01 operates within a frequency range of 50 MHz to 2.2 GHz. It provides adjustable output power between 17 dBm and 20 dBm for frequencies up to 1.2 GHz, and 15 dBm to 18 dBm for frequencies from 1.2 GHz to 2.2 GHz. The gain control allows for fine-tuning in 1.0 dB increments across a range from 0 dB to 31 dB. Supporting a maximum real-time bandwidth of 40 MHz with an 8-bit sample width, this SDR achieves high data throughput, with its digital-to-analog converter (DAC) operating at a rate of 400 MS/s with 16-bit resolution.

For signal reception, the 781910-01 includes a similar frequency range and gain adjustment from 0 dB to 31.5 dB in 0.5 dB increments, enhancing sensitivity. Its analog-to-digital converter (ADC) delivers data at 100 MS/s with a resolution of 14-bits across two channels, featuring a noise figure between 5 dB and 7 dB. The integrated GPS Disciplined Oscillator (GPSDO) significantly improves frequency accuracy, providing stability of 10 ppb when locked to GPS and 25 ppb when unlocked, which is crucial for time and frequency synchronization in complex systems. The active antenna is powered at 5 V with a power consumption of 0.7 W. The compact design measures 15.875 cm by 4.826 cm by 21.209 cm and weighs 1.193 kg, demonstrating durability under high shock and vibration conditions with an operational ambient temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C. Energy-efficient, the device operates with a typical power requirement of 12 W to 15 W, making it an excellent choice for robust communication applications.
