The National Instruments 782835-37 PXIe-2737 is a high-density 4x64, 2-wire PXI matrix switch module specifically engineered for efficient signal routing within automated testing environments. This innovative module employs electromechanical relays to provide rapid switching capabilities, enhancing the performance of your test systems. It incorporates a switch health center that monitors relay count, features a temperature sensor, and provides functional and resistive relay self-tests, facilitating effective predictive maintenance and ensuring optimal system health.
Designed to support a maximum switching voltage of 100 V and a maximum power of 60 W (or 62.5 VA), the NI 782835-37 can handle a maximum switching and carry current of 2 A, with a minimum switching load of 20 mV/1 mA. It offers exceptional DC isolation resistance of 1 GΩ at 25°C, with initial and end-of-life path resistances of less than 1.3 Ω and up to 2.3 Ω, respectively. The module minimizes thermal electromotive force (EMF) below 10 µV, ensuring high precision in sensitive measurement tasks.
Equipped with non-latching electromechanical relays featuring palladium-ruthenium, gold-covered contacts, the module connects via a 160-position DIN 41612 male connector on the front panel and is PXI Express compatible. It consumes 24 W at 12 V and 3.6 W at 3.3 V. The module measures 21.6 cm × 2.0 cm × 13.0 cm and weighs 423 g, operating effectively in ambient conditions up to 55°C with 10% to 90% relative humidity and can be stored in temperatures from -40°C to 71°C.
The 782835-37 delivers a bandwidth of up to 10 MHz, accommodating both 1-wire 50 Ω and 2-wire 100 Ω terminations. It features exceptional open channel isolation and low channel-to-channel crosstalk, with isolation values exceeding 81 dB at 10 kHz and crosstalk reaching -67 dB at the same frequency. The typical relay operation time is 1 ms, with a maximum of 3.3 ms, allowing simultaneous operation of up to 90 relays. The relays boast a mechanical lifespan of 1 × 10⁸ cycles, and varying electrical life depending on load conditions. The module conforms to numerous EMC standards, including EN 61326-1 and FCC Part 15B, and complies with safety regulations such as IEC 61010-1 and UL 61010-1, ensuring reliable operation in diverse applications.
