The National Instruments 785064-01 CompactDAQ Chassis, also known as the cDAQ-9185, is a versatile 4-slot chassis designed specifically for distributed sensor measurement systems that require reliable data flow control, timing, and synchronization between C Series I/O modules and external hosts. This chassis is ideally suited for large-scale, dispersed measurement applications, utilizing Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) to maintain precise, synchronized timing across the network. Equipped with an integrated network switch, the chassis allows for straightforward daisy-chaining, while its four 32-bit general-purpose counters/timers support various applications, including quadrature encoders, PWM, and pulse train generation.

The 785064-01 chassis features a grounding screw, LEDs for status indication, a reset button, a power connector, and a PFI SMB connector. It includes two tri-speed RJ-45 Ethernet ports that accommodate shielded straight-through or crossover Category 5 Ethernet cables, enabling seamless connections to a computer host, NI Linux Real-Time controller, other CompactDAQ chassis, FieldDAQ devices, or any subnet network. Supporting IEEE 802.1AS synchronization with compatible NI Linux Real-Time controllers, the chassis is marked with a SYNC logo, signifying its advanced hardware synchronization capabilities.
