The National Instruments 786469-01 is a high-performance voltage input device designed specifically for the FieldDAQ system, known as the FD-11605. It features eight analog input channels that provide galvanic isolation to ensure data integrity between the channels and the chassis. This device utilizes a 24-bit Delta-sigma ADC for precision measurements and incorporates analog prefiltering to enhance signal quality. The input voltage range for the channels extends from ±60 V to ±16 V. It offers configurable timebase frequencies of 13.1072 MHz, 12.8 MHz, 12.288 MHz, and 10.24 MHz, with a maximum accuracy of ±30 ppm, and supports a wide sample rate range from 500 samples/s to 102.4 kSamples/s.

Connectivity is versatile, supporting both TCP/IP and UDP protocols through several designated network ports, such as HTTP (configuration only on port 80), and various TCP and UDP ports for communication. The device includes two internally-switched 8-pin X-coded M12 ports, automatically negotiating Ethernet communication rates between 10/100/1000 Mbps, with a maximum cabling distance of 100 meters per segment and up to 15 hops per line. Additionally, it adheres to the IEEE 802.1AS protocol for network synchronization.

The 786469-01 operates with an input voltage range of 9 VDC to 30 VDC and has a maximum power consumption rating of 6 W, utilizing a 5-pin L-coded male M12 connector for both power input and output. It is recommended to use a 16 A slow blow fuse for external overcurrent protection, with the maximum current limited to 10 A at the Power IN/OUT terminals. Physically, the device measures 7.8 in. × 3.0 in. × 1.9 in. and weighs 1.2 kg. It is built for rigorous environmental conditions, capable of operating in temperatures between -40 °C and 85 °C with a relative humidity tolerance of up to 100%. For storage, it withstands temperatures from -40 °C to 100 °C, and it is rated for operation at altitudes up to 5000 meters, with a recommended calibration interval of one year.
