National Instruments MID-7602

The National Instruments MID-7602 is a two-axis stepper motor drive designed for seamless integration with NI motion controllers, including the NI-7340, NI-7330, and NI-7350 models. This device features an IM481H modular hybrid bipolar chopper with a chopping frequency of 20 kHz, ensuring precise motor control and efficient operation. The MID-7602 operates on a nominal 24 VDC motor bus voltage, providing peak current per phase adjustable between 0.2 and 1.4 A, with a factory default setting of 0.5 A. It delivers a continuous power output rating of 80 W across all axes combined, making it suitable for various industrial automation applications.

The drive incorporates advanced PWM technology to optimize motor winding current, maintain temperature control, and minimize ripple current. An active fan cooling system further enhances performance by maintaining optimal operating conditions. The MID-7602 also accommodates 0 to 12 VDC home, inhibit, and limit switch inputs for each axis, facilitating versatile motion setups.
