The NI PCI-5114 Oscilloscope is a robust solution that features two simultaneously sampled input channels with a maximum sample rate of 250 MS/s and an analog bandwidth of 125 MHz. Designed in a compact PCI form factor, this module includes up to 512 MB of onboard memory, enabling high-performance data acquisition for a variety of applications such as communications, scientific research, military/aerospace, and consumer electronics. Utilizing the advanced National Instruments Synchronization and Memory Core (SMC) architecture, the PCI-5114 allows for synchronization across multiple devices, facilitating the development of high-channel-count digitizers and integration with signal generators or waveform analyzers.

This oscilloscope supports three part numbers with differing onboard memory options: 779745-01 (8 MB/ch), 779745-02 (64 MB/ch), and 779745-03 (512 MB/ch). The inclusion of a high-performance Direct Memory Access (DMA) engine enhances data throughput while minimizing CPU load, while compatibility with hyper-threading and multiprocessor architectures ensures efficient data processing on modern PCs.

The self-calibration capability of the PCI-5114 simplifies maintenance by automatically correcting for gain, offset, and timing errors across input ranges upon command. Users can also implement external calibration to align voltage references and gains, with calibration constants securely stored in nonvolatile memory. The device offers 5 GS/s equivalent-time sampling (ETS) for repetitive signals and features independently channel-selectable input ranges from 40 mVpp to 40 Vpp, as well as input impedances of either 50 Ω or 1 MΩ. With the ability to capture over 1 million triggered waveforms in multi-record mode, this oscilloscope is engineered for demanding data acquisition requirements.
