The National Instruments PCI-6561 Digital Waveform Generator is a high-performance device designed for precise waveform generation, featuring a bandwidth of up to 100 MHz. This model includes 16 built-in data channels, allowing for extensive capabilities in both generation and acquisition, which are essential for various research and development applications. The PCI-6561 supports multiple clock sources, such as an onboard voltage-controlled crystal oscillator, an external clock input (CLK IN), and a strobe signal, providing flexibility in frequency ranges from 48 Hz to 100 MHz with a resolution of 10 picoseconds. It offers a typical lock time of 400 milliseconds and ensures exceptional measurement accuracy of ± 100 parts per million. The device is connected via three SMB jacks and a 12X InfiniBand connector, operationally powered with a maximum consumption of 16.5 watts. The PCI-6561 operates within an ambient temperature range of 0 °C to 45 °C and can withstand storage temperatures between -20 °C and 70 °C. Measuring 4.96 x 13.9 inches and weighing approximately 410 grams, it is a compact yet powerful addition to any test setup. The device can be configured using the NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) software and is compatible with the NI-HSDIO driver, facilitating integration with development environments such as LabVIEW and .NET.
