The National Instruments PCMCIA-5102 is a dual-channel digitizer designed for flexibility and high-performance data acquisition. This Type II PCMCIA card features two single-ended analog input channels, each with a bandwidth of 15 MHz and the capability to process signals within a voltage range of ±50 mV to ±5 V through software-selectable attenuation. The device is compatible with NI-DAQ and NI-SCOPE driver software and can be integrated with application environments such as LabVIEW, LabWindows, Visual Basic, and Measurement Studio, supporting various Windows operating systems. The onboard memory offers up to 663,000 samples, allowing for efficient data access prior to transfer to host memory.

The PCMCIA-5102 is equipped with advanced triggering capabilities, including hysteresis values, bi-level triggering, trigger hold-off, and programmable thresholds. It also comprises two digital TTL/CMOS triggers, enabling synchronization with other modules. The digitizer utilizes an 8-bit resolution analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and achieves a maximum sampling rate of 20 MS/s. Designed with a recommended warm-up time of 15 minutes, the device requires annual external calibration, while internal calibration is advised with any significant environmental changes. Although National Instruments has announced the obsolescence of the PCMCIA-5102, it remains available for purchase and repair through Apex Waves.
