The National Instruments RM-4302 Terminal Block (Part Number: 783872-01) is an industrial-grade device designed to enhance analog input connections within automation systems. It features 32 analog input channels with AI± differential input, ensuring precise data acquisition across a temperature range of 0°C to 55°C. The terminal block offers exceptional offset voltage performance, with a maximum of 10 μV at 23°C ±5°C and a typical value of 4 μV at the same temperature, along with stability metrics of 0.5 μV/°C max and 0.05 μV/°C. Supporting an external power input range of 6 VDC to 28 VDC with a maximum current rating of 3.2 A, the RM-4302 includes Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) short circuit protection to enhance operational safety. Designed for durability, the terminal block features an RJ50 receptacle capable of enduring up to 500 insertions, while the electromechanical relays used for channel switching boast a mechanical switch life of 5 × 10^7 cycles and an electrical life of 2 × 10^5 cycles. For versatile connectivity, it offers 32 RJ50 connectors, one BNC connector, a 96-pin DIN connector, as well as COMBICON 2-position and 4-position connectors. The RM-4302 operates effectively in environments with temperatures between 0°C and 55°C and relative humidity ranging from 10% to 90% (non-condensing), while also supporting storage in a wider range of -40°C to 71°C and 5% to 95% relative humidity. Compliance with stringent shock and vibration standards allows for resilience against operational shocks of up to 30 g and random vibrations from 5 to 500 Hz, in addition to minimizing interference in industrial applications and adhering to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) regulations.
