The National Instruments SCXI-1193 is a high-density RF Multiplexer Switch Module offering 32 channels configurable as an unterminated multiplexer, an externally terminated multiplexer, or a sparse matrix for enhanced flexibility in signal routing. Designed to accommodate signal frequencies from DC up to 500 MHz, this module features a single slot and employs high-density push-on MCX connectors to manage cabling effectively. It interfaces seamlessly with high-frequency devices, such as the PXI-5404 Frequency Generator and the PXI-5112 High-Speed Digitizer. The SCXI-1193 supports various topologies, including Quad 8 x 1, Dual 16 x 1, and 32 x 1 multiplexers, among others.
The module includes 36 MCX jacks for I/O connections along with 2 SMB jacks for triggering functions, utilizing an electromechanical latching relay type. Maximum application versatility is supported through compatible cabling options such as MCX-MCX, MCX-BNC, MCX-SMB, and MCX-SMA, available in lengths of 0.3 m and 1.0 m. The option to use a 50 Ohm MCX Terminator allows configuration as a terminated multiplexer when applied to half of the channels.
With a power requirement of +5 VDC at 50 mA and a range of ±18.5 VDC to ±25 VDC at 170 mA, the SCXI-1193 operates effectively within a temperature range of 0 °C to 50 °C and a storage temperature range of -20 °C to 70 °C, maintaining performance in environments with 5% to 85% non-condensing humidity. Compactly designed, it measures 1.2 x 6.8 x 7.8 inches and weighs approximately 2 oz. While National Instruments has declared the SCXI-1193 obsolete, it remains available for purchase and repair through Apex Waves. Users can access comprehensive user and maintenance manuals available for download. For pricing, please consult a sales representative.
