The National Instruments ISC-1744 Smart Camera (Part Number: 780403-01) is a versatile imaging solution tailored for automated inspection and various machine vision applications. As part of the NI-17xx Smart Camera Series, it features a robust metallic housing that integrates a 533 MHz PowerPC processor, advanced image sensor technology, and digital I/O capabilities. The ISC-1744 is equipped with a high-resolution monochrome CCD image sensor, providing 1.3 megapixels (1280 x 1024) for precise defect detection and verification, significantly enhancing its inspection capabilities over standard models.

In addition to its superior imaging performance, the ISC-1744 includes a built-in direct drive lighting controller and supports quadrature encoding with an onboard encoder, ensuring accurate positioning for various applications. The device offers two isolated digital optional inputs and two digital isolated outputs for flexible integration into industrial systems. For ease of communication, the ISC-1744 is fitted with dual Gigabit Ethernet ports and a standard RS-232 serial port.
