The IC660BBA104 Genius Analog I/O Block from GE Fanuc is designed for integration within the Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), serving as a pivotal component within the Analog Mixed Modules group. This block operates on dual power sources of either 115 VAC or 125 VDC, facilitating versatile application setups. It features four analog inputs and two analog outputs, with an operational range of 4 mA to 20 mA. The IC660BBA104 ensures precision with an input accuracy of 0.1%, while the circuits are isolated to enhance reliability.

Designed for seamless data processing, the I/O block does not require external power for operations, with a single input supplying power to all circuits. It converts signals into engineering units using linear scaling, broadcasting 8 bytes of data on each scan while outputting 4 bytes of data. The block interfaces with Bus Switching Module (IC660BSM21) and is compatible with Genius Bus Controllers, PCIM, and QBIM modules. Configuration of the IC660BBA104 can be performed using a Hand-held monitor version 3.7 or later, alongside the Logicmaster 6 software version 4.02 or later.

Additionally, the block supports various diagnostic functions, including input alarm detection, state holding, and output feedback reception. It boasts a signal conversion time of up to 400 ms and can operate with CPU redundancy. Diagnostic capabilities encompass the detection of open wire inputs, high and low alarms for individual inputs, I/O overrange and underrange signal detection, and output feedback errors. With 32 terminals, the power source connects to terminals 5 and 6, the self-powered input cables to terminals 17 to 32, and outputs to terminals 11-12 and 14-15. A 10-ohm resistor is recommended if both outputs are grounded to prevent circuit damage, with connections for the bus switching module at terminals 9-10.

With dimensions of 8.8 x 3.4 x 3.9 inches and a weight of 4 pounds, this I/O block excels in both performance and compact design. The IC660BBA104 is an essential component for achieving high-accuracy and reliable analog I/O in industrial automation systems.
