The IC693MDL752 is a 5/24-volt DC (TTL) Negative Logic Output module specifically designed for GE Fanuc's Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems. This module features 32 negative logic (sinking type) output points organized into four distinct groups labeled A through D, with each group containing eight outputs and a dedicated common. It can be installed in any compatible PLC baseplate that accommodates either 5 or 10 I/O slots. Each common group is equipped with user I/O connectors that feature two pins capable of handling a maximum current of 3 amperes; it is advised to connect both pins, particularly for applications requiring between 3 to 4 amperes.

The IC693MDL752 operates in two distinct modes: Transistor-Transistor Logic (TTL) and 12/24V modes. In TTL mode, outputs can manage user loads up to +5 VDC, while in 12/24V mode, the module supports loads ranging from +12 to -24 VDC. Each output point can sink a maximum current of 25 mA in TTL mode and up to 0.5 A in 12/24V mode, allowing specific groups (A to D) to cater to varying load requirements. Group A is suited for TTL tasks, Group B for 12 VDC loads, and Groups C and D for 24 VDC loads. When combining modes or utilizing inductive loads, attention must be paid to potential electrical noise.

Load devices connect to the module via two male 24-pin connectors positioned at the front; the right connector interfaces with groups A and B, while the left connects to groups C and D. The module incorporates optocouplers for backplane isolation between the field and logic sides, ensuring operational integrity. Additionally, each output point features an LED status indicator to display active (ON) or inactive (OFF) conditions. Although there are no special fault diagnostics, each output incorporates an internal pull-up resistor to maintain high logic levels for TTL operations when the field-effect transistor (FET) is off. Power to the user loads must be supplied independently when the CPU stops, as the module utilizes minimal user power to drive outputs. The IC693MDL752 guarantees reliable operation in industrial automation settings, meeting the requirements of versatile control applications.
