Description
The Mitsubishi MDS-C1-SP-260 is an AC spindle drive unit (spindle amplifier) from the MELDAS MDS-C1 series, used on Mitsubishi CNC machine tools to control the main spindle motor. MDS-C1-SP units operate from the 270-311 VDC bus supplied by an MDS-C1-CV power supply unit and mount alongside the servo drive modules in the machine's drive lineup.
This unit is rated 26.0 kW and uses sine wave PWM current control with regenerative braking through the common converter. It is a standard replacement item on machining centers and lathes built on the MDS-C1 platform.
